NORMAN. William I 'the Conqueror'. 1066-1087. AR Penny (19mm, 1.10 g, 10h). Two Scepters type (BMC iv). Sandwich mint; Ælfheah, moneyer. Struck circa 1072-1074. Crowned facing bust; cross-tipped scepter to left, trefoil-tipped scepter to right / + ÆLFEEH ON SIIN, cross fleurée, with annulet at center; all over cross botonnée in saltire.
